Unlike other schools in the Madison Metropolitan School System, Madison East High School has implemented a policy where a IE on any standard immediately makes you fail the class. This grading system does not reflect our actual understanding of the material in the class. We could have all PRs or ADs on every standard but the second we get a IE on ONE standard we fail the class. This policy has caused a immense amount of stress on every student. We want the Admin at the MMSD to change our grades back to what they would’ve been in the original grading system we had during the 2024-25 school year.
