Petition to ArenaNet to Increase the Homestead Decor Limit in Guild Wars 2

Petition to ArenaNet to Increase the Homestead Decor Limit in Guild Wars 2
The Issue
With the release of Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds, thousands of Guild Wars 2 players were inspired and overjoyed to hear that player housing is now a feature this fifth expansion has added to the game. However, despite claims by ArenaNet, Guild Wars 2's developer, that there would be an unlimited decor limit during the promotion for Janthir Wilds, many players who are interested in Homesteads who have been decorating since the expansion's launch have found that they have hit the 1000 item limit with only the second wave of decoration recipes released with the 2024 Shadow of the Mad King Update, and many are also negatively impacted by the decor limit within a certain space and incapable of even filling the basic main house rooms in the base house model with furniture due to a combination of these hard limitations.
ArenaNet has now stated that they have no plans currently to increase this build limit. With the new expansion update coming November 19th and ArenaNet accepting video and screenshot submissions of our Homesteads to use as promotional material until November 11th, now is the time to bring attention to this issue. More decorations recipes will be added in this update with even more following in future updates, and Homesteaders' use of these new recipes will be nearly impossible to many who have already reached decor cap.
Guild Wars 2's Homestead system has potential to be the best player housing system in any MMO; It is innovative and gives players a lot more creative freedom than player housing MMOs, particularly due to the free scaling and placing options. So why limit our creative freedom by a decor cap? A decor cap that is smaller than that of even Guild Halls, which actually causes a much more significant lag concern with increased item limit?
This petition is a general call for a decor item limit increase, but we as a community are willing to understand that Guild Wars 2 is not a subscription-based game and so ANet needs to make their money somewhere and even more money is spent storing the data for the decorations included in Homesteads. So, an unofficial suggestion: Increase the Homestead Decor Item Limit to 2000-3000 items for free and/or via the Homestead Mastery track, and then sell Homestead Decor expanders akin to Storage Expanders in the Gem Store so that those who are serious about Homesteading are able to increase their limits even further with a little investment.
Guild Wars 2 is a wonderful game with an extremely creative community. We are hopeful that ArenaNet listens to these concerns. Thank you to everyone who signs the petition, and feel free to leave your own comments and Homestead suggestions. Have a great day in Tyria!
