AN WARAY, a political party-list based on Samar, Leyte, and Biliran, claims that they are representing the poor people in the Philippine congress. They are claiming that they are representing the Filipino mass. Considering the fact that 69% of the Filipino people, most of them are the poor and the women, supports the pending RH Bill in the Philippine congress, this AN WARAY party-list opposes it without a justifiable reason. That’s why we, who are advocates of AN WARAY and voted for it, are calling out loud for the party-list to support the said bill in congress. We are calling on their representative in the congress and their chairperson, Rep. Florencio “Bem” Noel, to support the RH Bill in congress and fight for it. Rep. Noel, you said AN WARAY is trying to represent the Filipino people in congress. So, why are you hesitating to support the RH Bill? If you will change your anti-RH stand, you will be with 69% of the Filipino people. Imagine, only 31% of the Filipino people are against the RH Bill. The 69% will be supporting you. Why hesitate to support the RH Bill? Please don’t be influenced by these “pro-life” Roman Catholic priests and bishops in the Philippines. You should not make them your basis in opposing the RH Bill. Being pro-life is being pro-RH. Why? The RH Bill is imposing a better life for the poor, which AN WARAY is “representing.” It will also lessen deaths due to giving birth. 11 women die in a day in the Philippines because of maternal death. Protecting them from that kind of death is pro-life, isn’t it? Why hesitate to support the RH Bill? Rep. Noel, the moment you said you are opposing the RH Bill, you are representing yourself, not the Filipino people.

Again, we are calling on AN WARAY and their chairperson, Rep. Florencio “Bem” Noel, to support the RH Bill without hesitation and fight for it. Represent the Filipino mass, not the hypocrites in the pulpit. Support the RH Bill or we will not vote for AN WARAY in the 2013 elections.
