• Call to Action: Urging your state legislators to apply to Congress for a national convention to propose this amendment and urging Congress to support this crucial measure 
• Proposal: No person convicted of a felony, regardless of whether the sentence was served, shall be eligible to hold any office, whether elected or appointed, in the government of the United States, including any office within any department, agency, or instrumentality thereof.  Congress shall have the power to define by appropriate legislation specific disqualifications for specific federal offices. For the purposes of this article, the term 'felony' shall mean any offense punishable by death or imprisonment for more than one year under the laws of the United States or any State.
