The Issue

Why this matters

  1. Repeated antisocial behaviour affecting families
  2. Noise, intimidation and disturbances late at night
  3. Residents feel unsafe in their own homes
  4. Authorities have been informed but action is slow
  5. Charged with 3 counts of criminal damage

My father and his partner live opposite a tenant who has repeatedly terrorised the neighbourhood through ongoing antisocial behaviour.

To show how serious the situation has become, their vehicle windscreens have been smashed three separate times and tyres have previously been slashed. These incidents have been witnessed by neighbours and captured on CCTV.

The property on Applewood Close in Belper has been the subject of numerous reports of antisocial behaviour. As a result, many residents no longer feel comfortable or safe in their own homes. What should be a quiet residential street has become a source of stress and anxiety for the people who live here.

This issue is not just about damage to property. It is about the ongoing fear, disruption and emotional strain placed on ordinary families who simply want to live peacefully in their community.

Residents have reported incidents and provided evidence, yet the problem continues. We believe the situation now requires urgent and decisive action.

We are calling on Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, Amber Valley Borough Council, and relevant authorities to take this matter seriously and take all appropriate steps available to resolve the situation and protect the surrounding residents.

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home and neighbourhood.

By signing this petition, we are asking for meaningful action to restore safety, stability and peace to Applewood Close and the surrounding area.
