Petition to Address Alarming Rising Crime Levels in Northwood Hills

From: Concerned Residents of Northwood Hills and local businesses.

Subject: Urgent Action Needed to Improve Safety Reduce Crime in Our Community and to Provide us Business Rates Relief.

We, the undersigned residents of Northwood Hills and businesses are deeply concerned about the increasing levels of crime in our neighborhood.

In recent months, our community has experienced a noticeable rise in incidents, including burglaries, thefts, vandalism, assaults, stabbings, anti social behaviour, drug dealings, begging and drug related crimes. 

These crimes have left many residents feeling unsafe in their own homes, streets and business premises undermining our sense of security and well-being.We are on our guard 24/7 to protect ourselves from criminals operating locally. 

We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe in their community. Therefore, we respectfully request that the Metropolitan police department/ Hillingdon council take immediate and effective action to address these concerns. Specifically, we are calling for

• Increased visible police patrols, especially during peak hours for crime.
• More community policing initiatives to build trust and communication between officers and residents.
• Improved response times and follow-up for reported crimes.
• Regular updates to residents about crime prevention measures and ongoing investigations.
• Support for local neighborhood watch programs and community safety meetings.
• Tackling Anti Social behaviour, especially the use of drugs 
• A business rate relief from Hillingdon Council as a result of crime affecting our businesses  revenue.

We are ready and willing to work collaboratively with the police and local authorities to find practical solutions to keep Northwood Hills safe.

Our community deserves to feel protected. We urge you to prioritize this issue and take the necessary steps to restore safety and peace of mind for all residents.
