Ensuring Every Child at TVDSB Has the Support They Need

 
As a members of this community , we should all care deeply about the safety and learning of children in our neighbourhood. We want to make sure that all students entering Kindergarten at TVDSB, especially those with special needs, have the support of Educational Assistants (EAs) from day one.

Why this matters:

Children with autism and other complex needs rely on EAs to access learning safely.
Professional programs like Entry to School recommend EA support to prepare children for success.
Waiting to “see how it goes” is not safe or fair for these young learners.
What we’re asking:

Ensure adequate EA support for identified students starting the school year.
Align staffing with professional recommendations and transition plans.
Keep families and the community informed about the supports being provided.
