As tenants of our building, we feel firsthand the negative effects of an inadequate laundry facility. Our communal laundry room, which serves dozens of individuals daily and over 130 apartments, has just four dryers and six washing machines. This in itself is an unbalanced ratio that often leads to a backlog of loads, inconveniencing many residents. But this is not the only issue - several of these washing machines are significantly old and prone to malfunction. They can be out of service for weeks, causing major disruption to our daily lives. Furthermore, one of our four dryers has not operated in over a month. 

The lack of access to reliable laundry facilities and functioning machines is not just a matter of inconvenience, but also a question of equity and respect. We deserve a trustworthy method for maintaining our homes and lifestyles. It's imperative for the condo board to invest in new, better-functioning washing machines and dryers. By doing so, they can foster a more harmonious community, ensuring that all tenants have their basic living conditions met.
