Background: 
Kylie and Chris have lived in Emerald / Avonsleigh between the Avonsleigh General Store and the Avonsleigh Vet for over 17 years. The area is defined by the council as the Avonsleigh hub. Having been locals in the hills for over 40 years, we are well aware of the difficulty to get many items in the hills because of, availability, parking issues, ease of access, time it takes to get home from work, opening hours of most stores, profiteering in the hills and a general lack of understanding by the Cardinia Shire Council, to the needs of the hills communities. 
The stall was setup to supply fresh flowers and fresh produce to the local community and to, wherever possible, support local growers with an easily accessible place to supply their goods to the local community and passing tourists.
Petition:
Highlighting the lack of understanding by the Cardinia Shire Council and after already having given the go ahead to proceed, the council have now stated they are no longer in support of the stall but have given no reasons why.
We hereby request you to sign our petition that will be presented to council, in protest of the attempt by the Cardinia Shire Council To CLOSE the only fresh produce stall, in the area, attempting to address the difficulty of purchasing produce locally.
