Petition for the Resignation of the Board of Supervisors
Saint Augustine Lakes Community Development District, Florida

To:
The Board of Supervisors and Residents of Saint Augustine Lakes Community Development District, Florida

Petition Statement

We, the undersigned residents, property owners, and stakeholders within the Saint Augustine Lakes Community Development District, respectfully petition for the immediate resignation of the current Board of Supervisors.

Whereas, the Board of Supervisors of a Florida Community Development District is entrusted with managing public funds, infrastructure, assessments, and services that directly impact our property values and quality of life; and

Whereas, effective governance requires transparency, fiscal responsibility, open communication with residents, and accountability to the community; and

Whereas, we believe the current Board has failed to adequately meet these standards in one or more of the following areas:

  • Lack of transparency in financial decisions, budgeting, or contract awards
  • Failure to address residents’ concerns regarding maintenance, amenities, or infrastructure
  • Poor communication and exclusion of property owners from meaningful input
  • Apparent conflicts of interest or decisions that do not prioritize resident interests

Therefore, we respectfully request that all current Board members submit their resignations effective immediately to allow for new leadership through the election or appointment process as provided under Florida law (Chapter 190, Florida Statutes).

We Further Request

  • The resignations be submitted in writing to the District Manager and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
  • A special election or appointment process be initiated promptly to fill the vacancies.
  • All District records and meetings remain fully transparent during the transition.

Closing Statement

We urge the current Board to place the interests of the community above personal positions and step down voluntarily to restore trust and confidence in the governance of our CDD.

Our intent is not to disparage the builder or the current board, but to put the onus of how this community operates in the hands of the only people who have a vested interest in its future, which is the SAL residents.
