Petition for the Resignation of Superintendent Benny Soileaus 

 

To the Huffman Independent School District Board of Trustees,

 

We, the undersigned concerned parents, students, staff, and community members of Huffman ISD, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the conduct and leadership of Superintendent Benny. Recent allegations and incidents have raised serious questions about his ability to effectively lead our school district.

 

We demand the following:

 

1. Immediate Resignation: Superintendent Benny must resign from his position, allowing for a new leader who embodies the integrity and responsibility expected in a school district leader.

 

 

2. Investigation: An independent investigation into the allegations of reckless behavior, including a drunk driving incident, must be conducted. This investigation should ensure transparency and accountability to the community.

 

 

3. Protection for Whistleblowers: We call for policies to protect those who speak out against misconduct within the district, ensuring that staff and community members can raise concerns without fear of retaliation.

 

 

 

Reason for Our Demands:

 

Multiple accounts suggest that Superintendent Benny was involved in a drunk driving incident, where witnesses reported his intoxication, culminating in a crash into a private residence. Which was cover up by local law enforcement.

 

In addition to the alleged drunk driving incident, there are reports of two other accidents involving the superintendent, raising further concerns about his reckless behavior. Witnesses also claim he was involved in a fight at the Junction bar, allegedly fueled by alcohol. These incidents paint a troubling pattern of misconduct and call into question his ability to lead the district responsibly.

 

Allegations indicate that damages from the drunk driving incident were repaired using school funds, raising ethical concerns about financial mismanagement.

 

Reports of intimidation and dismissal of individuals attempting to bring these issues to light undermine the trust and safety within our school community.

 

The recent tax hikes, combined with the bond that passed last year, have made it incredibly hard for us to continue living in Huffman. Many families are feeling the strain, and it’s becoming almost impossible to keep up with the rising costs. It’s frustrating to see our taxes climb while questionable behavior from district leadership goes unchecked.

 

 

Superintendent Benny's actions have compromised the safety and integrity of Huffman ISD. We believe that a change in leadership is essential for the wellbeing of our students, staff, and the community as a whole.

 

We, the undersigned, urge the Huffman ISD Board of Trustees to take immediate action for the sake of our children’s education and the future of our district.

This isn’t just a win—it’s a reckoning. For every teacher silenced, for every taxpayer ignored, for every parent who spoke up and was dismissed, this moment is for YOU.

 

They said we couldn’t fight the system. They said no one would listen. They told us to sit down, shut up, and accept business as usual.

But we stood up. We spoke out. And together, we held this administration accountable.

 

We exposed the misuse of our tax dollars. We demanded answers for broken promises and shady trips to Austin. We stood strong against threats, firings, and intimidation tactics. And in the end? Truth won. Community won. WE won.

 

To everyone who signed the petition, spoke at meetings, or simply stood beside us—you were the difference.

 

This is just the beginning. Huffman ISD deserves transparency. Integrity. Leadership that puts students first. And we’re not stopping until we get exactly that.
