Petition for the Impeachment of Donald Trump for War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity

Petition for the Impeachment of Donald Trump for War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
The Issue
To: Members of the United States Congress
Subject: Petition for the Impeachment of Donald J. Trump for War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Dear Members of Congress,
We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, formally petition for the immediate initiation of impeachment proceedings against former President Donald John Trump for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during his tenure as Commander-in-Chief.
Grounds for Impeachment: War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity
Under both domestic law and international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions, the United Nations Convention Against Torture, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (to which the U.S. is a signatory in principle), acts committed under President Trump's leadership constitute grave violations of human rights and the laws of armed conflict. These include, but are not limited to:
Authorization and escalation of drone strikes resulting in the death of non-combatants, including women and children, in sovereign nations without Congressional approval or adequate oversight.
The targeted assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani on foreign soil without a formal declaration of war, thereby violating both U.S. law (War Powers Resolution) and Article 2(4) of the U.N. Charter prohibiting the use of force against another sovereign nation.
The support and arming of foreign regimes engaged in atrocities, particularly the U.S.-backed Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, which has been responsible for the widespread killing of civilians, the blockade of humanitarian aid, and the creation of one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history.
The deliberate separation of families and prolonged detention of migrant children in conditions described by human rights experts as inhumane and psychologically damaging, which may qualify as crimes against humanity under international law.
These acts rise to the level of “high crimes and misdemeanors” as articulated in Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. They reflect a profound abuse of executive power, a blatant disregard for international law, and an utter failure to uphold the moral and legal standards required of the office of the President.
Call to Action
We, the undersigned, therefore call upon the United States Congress to:
Introduce and pass Articles of Impeachment against Donald John Trump for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Launch a full congressional investigation into all military and foreign policy decisions made under his administration that may constitute violations of international law.
Refer findings to the appropriate international bodies, including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court, for further investigation and prosecution as warranted.
Conclusion
The United States must uphold its commitment to human rights and the rule of law. Failure to act against such serious violations sets a dangerous precedent and undermines our credibility on the global stage. Justice must not be selective, and no individual—regardless of title or office—is above accountability.
We demand accountability. We demand justice. We demand impeachment.
Sincerely,
The American People
