We, the owners and consumers of Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative (NORECO II), CALL AND DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE ROLLBACK ON THE SUDDEN PRICE INCREASES IN OUR ELECTRICITY RATES.

We are disappointed and dismayed with the sudden price increase implemented by NORECO II. Our February 2022 billings were significantly higher than the previous months.

More than an explanation, we CRY AND DEMAND for the immediate rollback of our electricity rates. We are on a pandemic. Many of us, owners and consumers of NORECO II, have been sick, have lost their jobs, and have been trying to make ends meet due to the harsh effects of this health crisis. Many homes were destroyed and many lives were lost due to the Typhoon Odette. An increase on the prices of our basic commodities, such as electricity, is an added burden to our pockets. These price increases are clearly anti-poor and inhumane
