On August 18, 2025, at 6:30 pm local time, አቤል አቡና, Abel Abuna was violently abducted by assailants affiliated with the so-called “Prophet” ገቢ ጉተማ. His only “crime” was courageously exposing, through a publicly posted video.The deceptive and manipulative practices of this false prophet, which many in the community already know to be true.

Eyewitnesses report that a group of men, some disguised in what appeared to be law enforcement uniforms with red bonnets, ambushed Abel and his friends, forcing him into a pickup truck before vanishing. This was not an arrest—it was a mafia-style abduction, an illegal act carried out in plain sight.

Abel is not merely a name on paper. He is a husband and a father of two young children who now cry for their father’s return. His wife waits in anguish. His children wait in innocence. Every passing hour deepens their pain.

This is not only an attack on Abel but on the very principles of truth, justice, and freedom. When a man is kidnapped for speaking against deception, society itself is in danger of being silenced.
