The Issue

Dear Little Aprons Academy Parents,

We are writing to you today about a serious and troubling situation that directly impacts the quality of care and safety culture at our school.

Last Friday, November 21, 2025, our beloved teacher, Ms. Rikia Cobbs, was unfairly terminated by the Little Aprons Academy administration. The reason given was a minor, isolated incident involving the accidental administration of milk to two children with dairy allergies.

Why We Must Act Now:

She Self-Reported: Ms. Cobbs immediately and responsibly self-reported the error to the administration and contacted both affected parents. Her termination punishes transparency and accountability, creating a culture where teachers will fear reporting minor mistakes.

Parental Agreement: The parents of the two affected children have stated unequivocally that they do not believe Ms. Cobbs should have been let go for this incident.

Safety Risk: The constant termination of tenured, caring teachers like Ms. Cobbs creates instability and staff turnover, which ultimately compromises the safety and quality of care for all our children. Experience matters, especially in handling routines and individual needs.
We believe Ms. Cobbs' termination is a severe overreaction and is detrimental to the entire Academy community.

ACTION REQUIRED: Please Sign the Petition Immediately

We have prepared a formal petition demanding the immediate reinstatement of Ms. Rikia Cobbs to her position. The more signatures we collect today, the stronger our collective voice will be.

Thank you for your urgent attention and support for Ms. Cobbs and for prioritizing staff stability and transparency at Little Aprons Academy.
