Petition for Sony to NOT Develop Destiny 3
The Issue
The Destiny franchise has captivated millions of gamers around the world with its immersive universe, thrilling gameplay, and strong sense of community. However, with the long life cycle that Destiny 2 had it's time to move on and keep the beloved franchise where it belongs. In the grave. That step can be taken by Sony not wasting precious resources and development time on Destiny 3.
The desire for new adventures, fresh storylines, and innovative gameplay is long gone and died with Destiny 2 (early on, at that). The problem is, Bungie has gone through THREE different management/lead roles and with each change in leadership and direction, the game kept continuing to fail on content and bring better content. I personally, don't think Bungie ever learned their lesson to inspire anyone especially gamers when it came to their game, to keep the game alive.
Let it die... It's amazing how many players were mentally abused by spending their time farming away in the game only to result in little to no loot (due to glitches that Bungie always fails to fix) or people who spent hundreds of runs just to never get their exotic. How many times did you run a dungeon or raid and STILL not get an exotic? How many times did you go to the lighthouse and still get bad loot?
All of that time wasted, for two blues and an engram, which leads to my next point. The rewards were usually somewhat lackluster, unrewarding and so were the guns. Bungie did the game a disservice to the Destiny franchise in the long run. Both in earlier expansions and even in later expansions. The problem is they never learned their lesson and abused the players time and support. Time-gated content was a thing for Destiny for such a long time as well, dating back to Destiny 1.
The Destiny franchise is the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
I ask that you join us in petitioning Sony to NOT take this lead forward. Sign the petition to show your anti-support for Sony and help keep the franchise which belongs in the grave, in the grave.
