We are asking the Village of Wheeling to install a speed bump near Malibu Park on Tahoe Circle Drive. Drivers frequently speed and drive recklessly through this residential street, often reaching dangerous speeds of up to 50 mph. This behavior is putting our children, families, and pedestrians at serious risk.

Malibu Park is a well-used, family-friendly space, and the surrounding area should be a safe place for everyone—especially children—to walk, play, and gather. There is no reason for such high speeds on a neighborhood street, particularly one adjacent to an active park.

A speed bump would be a simple, effective measure to slow down traffic and prevent a potential tragedy. We urge the Village to take action to protect our community.
