This is our opportunity to demand meaningful reform for the Sheriff’s Department. We ask that you call and email the Riverside County Board of Supervisors and urge them to support effective oversight of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

County residents have witnessed incredibly high rates of in-custody deaths, dangerous and illegal deputy misconduct, the department’s support for aggressive immigration policies, and lawsuit settlements in the tens of millions of taxpayer dollars.
With over 4,000 employees and a budget of over $1 billion, Riverside County must invest in a system of oversight to restore transparency, accountability, and trust in its Sheriff’s Department.
Given the entrenched power of the Sheriff’s Department and its well-funded deputies’ union, the Board of Supervisors will not act unless we, demand it.
The Riverside Sheriff Accountability Coalition encourages you to contact your county supervisor in support of Sheriff Accountability.
