With the number of people signing a petition demanding he step down, the total number of petitioners is closing in on 973, the number of Logansport voters who supported him in 2023 when he won with less than 50 percent of the 23.4 percent turnout.

As of Thursday, 910 people have signed a petition demanding he resign so that the Logansport City Council can replace him with a non-partisan, professionally certified city manager.

The reasons are numerous, but the latest is the legal fees incurred with the separation of employment for former Logansport fire captain Scott Jones. Although initially charged with a felony in a domestic abuse case, he later pled to a lesser included charge. At last month's city council meeting, it was confirmed that the city is facing more than $330,000 in legal bills and is appealing a court decision which will cost even more money.

These expenses, and others including more than $40,000 he may be sued for by the owner of the Super 8 Motel, are among the reasons Logansport residents want a change at the City Building.

If you agree and you've been following a most tumultuous time for our city, please sign and share. Thank for caring for our city and its future.
