In case you didn't attend Monday night's Logansport City Council meeting, you need to know three things:
- The Martin Administration's handling of the Scott Jones case cost the city $330,000 in court and arbitration did not work.
- The city is now appealing the decision and will pay and Indianapolis law firm more than $10,000.
- If the city loses again, it may be appealed to a higher court. This comes after the mayor was accused of leaving an unpaid bill totaling more than $40,000 at the Super 8 Motel in Logansport for the former Iron Horsemen basketball team. The city is not releasing e-mails from Martin about it, claiming there is pending litigation, but so far, there is none from Super 8. These reasons are among many why more than 700 voters have signed our petition demanding Chris Martin's resignation and replacing him with a professionally-trained city manager who is non-partisan. Please sign and share our petition and thank you for caring for our city's future and the debt we are passing on to future generations.
