Those who have clicked on Mayor Chris Martin's Linked In access or have been recommended to it we'll see he claims to be three unusual things: An author, innovator and founder.

It's unclear what he has ever authored that would merit that self-description, and other than a backyard sports league, it's hard to fathom anything he would have founded. 

One explanation for Marin's frequent absences from the City Building for days on end would be that he is experiencing something called Impostor Syndrome. It is defined by AI as "a psychological pattern where you doubt your accomplishments and have a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud."

Meanwhile, the resignation of the city's second-highest full-time employee, Clerk-Treasuer Tyler Pearson, begs further questions, as does the prolonged periods Logansport has gone without a police chief, or the period Martin failed to act after former Fire Captain Scott Jones resolved court issues involving domestic violence. Councilman B.J. Cox, a member of Martin's party, has continually peppered questions about Jones to Martin at council meetings.

These ongoing distractions in a community that now has the sixth highest unemployment rate of any Indiana county. The number of voters signing this petition is nearing 500.
