This is a week to be thankful for many things.
Among those things we don't always give thanks around the dinner table for on Thanksgiving are police who protect us, firefighters who save us, utility crews who keep our lights on and our water running and street department crews who remove trees from downed power lines.
Our Logansport civil city and utility employees provide vital services for us, and we are grateful for what they do, though they don't receive tips and seldom receive recognition for what they accomplish 24/7, every day.
If you appreciate what they do for us, you probably can't appreciate what Mayor Chris Martin is doing to Logansport. He doesn't show up for work. He's being sued for unpaid debts. He's embarassed local residents with his conduct, including his failure to show up for Veterans Day ceremonies.
We're thankful that more than 38 dozen citizens have not only said they don't support him, but that he should put the city first instead of himself and resign.
Please sign and share so that we can reach 500 signatures by the end of the year.
Thank you for caring for our community's future.
