The signature parade Logansport has had for decades became the latest event not to involve its mayor today.
The annual Shrine Frolic Parade went on as scheduled in downtown Logansport, including heading past the City Building. No Chris Martin was in attendance.
This came as verified Logansport residents totaling more than 30 dozen residents signed our petition demanding his resignation and the appointment of a professional city manager. Martin's absence from city e events ranging from Veterans Day and Memorial Day Parades to the governor presenting Logansport with state funding to city council meetings. This is why city council members have approved a time clock for city employees, even though he is a salaried employee. His absences don't hold offices with other absences accountable because he has viewed a full-time job as one he can handle with only a part-time commitment.
To that end, we think Logansport deserves more, and better. Please join us in signing and sharing this petition for the future of our community, regardless of which party has seats on the city council, the clerk-treasuer's office of the mayor's office.
Thank you for caring for our city.
