We, the undersigned EMS professionals, concerned citizens, and advocates for the health and safety of Lauderdale County, hereby call for the immediate resignation of David Mapp Jr., Chief Operations Officer of Metro Ambulance Service.

Mr. Mapp has consistently demonstrated a lack of leadership, integrity, and moral responsibility expected of someone in his position. Under his toxic leadership, Metro Ambulance Service has seen a troubling decline in workforce morale, operational efficiency, and public trust. Qualified and dedicated EMS personnel have been wrongfully terminated, not for performance failures, but seemingly as a result of personal bias and poor leadership judgment. These unjust dismissals have directly contributed to a critical shortage in EMS staffing, significantly increasing emergency response times and putting the lives of Lauderdale County residents at greater risk.

Furthermore, Mr. Mapp's behavior toward female employees has raised serious concerns regarding misconduct and discriminatory practices. Such behavior is not only unethical, but entirely incompatible with the values of a professional emergency medical service.

Adding to these concerns is the undeniable fact that Mr. Mapp does not reside in Lauderdale County, yet holds a position of substantial influence over the well-being and safety of its citizens. His decisions—often detached from the community's needs and values—are running our EMS system into the ground while we, the people of Lauderdale County, are left to suffer the consequences.

We therefore demand the immediate resignation of David Mapp Jr. from Metro Ambulance Service. We also call upon the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors to conduct a thorough review of the current leadership structure within Metro Ambulance Service. It is imperative that reforms be enacted to establish a leadership team that prioritizes integrity, service before self, moral responsibility, and unwavering dedication to the citizens of Lauderdale County.

The people deserve better. Our EMS professionals deserve better. Lauderdale County deserves leadership that will uphold the highest standards of service and care.
