Petition for Reconsideration of MSB–Badri High School Merger Decision
Petition for Reconsideration of MSB–Badri High School Merger Decision
The Issue
To the Respected Management of MSB (Hyedri) and Badri High School,
We, the undersigned parents and guardians of students enrolled at Madrasa tus Saifiyah tul Burhaniyah (MSB) and Badri High School, respectfully submit this petition to express our collective concern regarding two major developments that have been implemented without parents community consultation:
- The merger of MSB and Badri High School, and
- The sudden and significant increase in school fees.
The decision to merge both institutions was taken without involving or informing the parent body. As primary stakeholders in our children’s education, we believe such a major shift requires dialogue, transparency, and mutual understanding. Each school held its own identity, educational approach, and values, which parents carefully considered when making enrollment decisions. The forced merger disregards those choices and has left many families uncertain and disheartened.
In addition, the sharp increase in school fees has placed a serious financial burden on many families. In the current economic climate, with widespread inflation and financial instability, this hike is not just difficult—it is unsustainable for a large number of struggling households. Education should be a source of stability and support, not an added stress.
We, therefore, humbly request the school management to:
- Pause the implementation of the merger and initiate an open consultation process with parents and guardians.
- Reassess the fee structure, with full transparency about its justification, and consider reducing the fees to a more reasonable and manageable level.
- Engage with the school community in a spirit of collaboration before implementing any further structural or financial changes.
Our intention is not to oppose change, but to advocate for fair process, shared decision-making, and the well-being of our children and families. We trust that the leadership values its parent community and will reconsider these decisions in the light of our collective concerns.
