After an AMAZING weekend attending the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2024 Luton, I strongly agree that more EDM festivals should be held in Luton. But not only EDM we need things to cater all people weather that be one big weekend every year with different genres each day or multiple events throughout the year. It has had a positive impact on the town bringing in loads of people from the UK and even overseas to attend such an amazing event. And with the transportation links direct to and from London with an Airport less than 10 mins away from the site I really do think Luton is not only ideal but needs more things like this!

I think that this would benefit the town giving it the recognition it really deserves and also giving the locals something to look forward too every year. They already host/hosted cultural events such as Desi Fest, Festivals for Eid, Carnival and St Patrick’s Day which is really good for the diversity of the town but isn’t something that everyone would be interested in. Unlike with a festival with wide variety of music that EVERYONE can enjoy together I think that it would be a very positive event for the locals to go and not only look forward to every year but to bring the town closer together.
