This is a request to implement make-up exam  for 21-Scheme students studying under vtu affiliated colleges.

Vtu students  who have backlogs are facing problems regarding vtu  SEE exams  because of not getting makeup exam to clear previous semester backlogs.

Vtu conducts backlog exam of previous semester with the regular exam of next semester without any gap. it's becoming hectic to students like us .who have health issues or any personal problems which leads us not to  perform well in that semester.

Even most of the students in this scheme have passed 12th during corona pandemic in 2021  and some are from diploma lateral entry students who joined on Feb  2023 to engineering and faced exam on April 2023.

Makeup exam is very helpful for us to clear a backlog subject after the announcement of result and clearing the current sem exam  before taking next subsequent sem examination.

We can focus on next sem without any tension of previous arrears or backlogs.

As per my knowledge 2022 scheme onwards their will be makeup exam  but 2021 scheme doesn't has .so it would be unfair to us ,getting multiple backlogs  drastically affect a students career as it gets a permanent mark in one’s resume and also has ill effects during placements and if someone wants to go for higher studies in India or abroad.

Hence,We request the concerned authority  to kindly implement makeup exam and provide us with a circular soon so we can focus on the subsequent sem subjects and also clear the back subjects peacefully. 

I'm creating this petition  on October 2023 so that makeup exam should be implemented as soon as possible after this Sem End Exam(SEE)  of July/aug 2023 which are held on October 2023 for   2021 scheme students who are in 4th sem regular and SEE exam  is being going on and 2022 scheme 2nd sem regular SEE is also going on .

My special and humble request is for our Vice Chancellor  Dr Vidyashankar .S and Registrar Dr.E. Rangaswamy sir who are working a lot for bringing reforms in VTU which are student freindly and we request them  to implement makeup exam for 2021 scheme as soon as possible , and they are the only hope for us to overcome this obstacle of previous sem backlog/arrears exam with regular sem exam .

Another thing I want to share is that timetable was too much continous that their was no gap to revise  for regular and backlog core subjects of 3rd and 4th sem subjects (3,4 credits) but we got 9 days gap for a 21uh49 subject which was a objective subject with just 1 credits .i have attached timetable .
