The Issue

We, the undersigned, represent a collective of families and members who value the community of Dripping Springs Racquet Club (DSRC,) but can no longer ignore the steady decline in standards over the last three years.

This petition serves as a formal notification of our dissatisfaction regarding:

  • Facility & Landscaping Neglect: A documented lack of upkeep in court surfaces and common areas including landscaping, maintenance and general cleanliness.
  • Inadequate Junior Program Support: A failure by management and ownership to provide the resources, court priority, and organization necessary for a premier Junior program, despite the best efforts of the coaching staff.
  • Operational Communication: A persistent lack of transparency regarding member feedback and club reinvestment.

The Impact of Neglect: Included in this petition are signatures from current members and from former members.

  • Current Member Intent: The current members undersigned are committed to DSRC only if it remains a high-quality facility. If a clear plan for improvement is not established, we will follow the lead of our former colleagues and consider relocating our families and memberships to a competing club.
  • Former Member Intent: The former members undersigned have already terminated our memberships specifically due to the issues listed above. We sincerely hope that the club is restored to it former prominence so that we can consider rejoining.
  • Patron Intent: The patrons undersigned, while not members, support the club through enrollment in the junior program and USTA leagues.  While we might not be members currently, many of us would consider becoming members, but have chosen not to for reasons including the issues listed above.  If changes are made, we would consider joining the club as a member.

The departure of former membership represents a direct loss of revenue and community for the club, a trend that the current membership is now prepared to follow.

Our Request: We are requesting an "Open Forum" meeting by May 1, 2026 to discuss a concrete timeline for reinvestment and improvement.
