It is an undeniable fact that Jack Antonoff, a famous producer who has worked with some of industry’s most famous artists such as Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift, has made timeless albums, such as Reputation, Folklore, and Evermore by Taylor Swift and Norman F****** Rockwell by Lana Del Rey. However, one of the biggest current issues is that he has been out of creativity and ideas to create and produce unique albums and songs since 2019. The proof to that is when we make comparisons between his post-2020 production styles and works. For instance, he produced Solar Power for industry’s alternative princess Lorde, but the album was botched by him because of its obvious similarities to Chemtrails Over The Country Club by Lana Del Rey. Another example is when we compare Taylor Swift’s 2023 Midnights to Lorde’s 2017 album Melodrama. Of this it can be said that both albums are so much similar in production styles including synth on them. However his inefficiencies and incompetence go well beyond such examples. That is, he copies from artists’ older works for their new ones. For example, he produced the vault tracks of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift, but one problem is that they are no different from Midnights and can’t sound compatible with 1989’s musical theme. For these thing and much more, he should be banned from working with artists to produce their songs/albums and, thus, degrading and harming their music and discography. We can stop this together.
