For Itasca Community College to Publicly Condemn Recent Acts of Discrimination

The local club S.A.G.E. (Sexuality and Gender Equity), the College's LGBT club, has been faced with multiple instances of acts of vandalism to their printed posters in the last school year (2016-2017). The photo in our header is one of the posters in question.
Time and again, the college has told us they will do things to work against this behavior. Time and time again nothing has been done in the long term to make it known this behavior is not acceptable.

On top of this, a student discovered a sticker that has ties to hate groups on the campus pay phone. Time will show how this action is handled, but sadly, we are not hopeful. We are now taking matters in our own hands.

Most importantly: The fact this has not been addressed to the students helps perpetuate it, especially when perpetrator realizes there are no consequences to their actions.
I've been discussing options with faculty and other clubs about how we can go about addressing this, not only for these events, but for the future as well.

S.A.G.E. and a few teachers have decided it is time to act. We ask for your signatures to show you too would like the college to speak out against these actions that effect not only the LGBT people on campus, but now any student of color existing on campus.

We're hoping for about 500 signatures, which is more than half the student body.
