Petition for Improved Academic Support and Fairness at Eastwick College, Ramsey
The Issue
We, the committed students of Ms. Rosenburg’s class, many of whom have maintained 4.0 GPAs, are deeply concerned about the quality of education we have received. It is unfortunate to hear that she in no longer with us, but we feel that the instructional support provided has not met the high standards we expected and invested in as part of our academic journey at Eastwick College.
Since the start of this course, a vast majority of us have encountered challenges in Ms. Rosenburg's classroom that impacted our ability to grasp the concepts and learn effectively. We've collectively observed inconsistencies in her attendance, which had a disruption on our educational experiences; and instances where the scheduling and respect for certain students' time and religious fell insufficient, fostering an environment that felt less welcoming and inclusive. These issues have contributed to difficulties academically for many of us, despite our dedication and strong report card records. We're concerned the education received doesn't align with Eastwick College's commitment to excellence or value of our investment.
With great respect for & to the institution as well as a shared goal of academic success, we're kindly requesting:
An opportunity for an open, collaborative meeting with college administration and relevant decision makers to discuss our concerns regarding the instructional challenges in Ms. Rosenburg’s class and her impact on our learning.
Thoughtful accommodations, like bonus assignments, opportunities for grade revisions, or alternative evaluation methods, to provide students with a fair opportunity to succeed academically, addressing the challenges we’ve experienced.
As students of Eastwick College, we're dedicated to our education and value the opportunity to learn and grow here. We submit this petition from a place of concern, seeking to work together with the administration to ensure a supportive and equitable learning environment. By signing below, we respectfully express our support for these requests and our hope for a positive resolution that upholds the college’s mission.
