Le problème

We, the undersigned members, families, volunteers, and supporters connected to the London Bandits and/or GLHA hockey community, are submitting this petition to formally raise serious concerns regarding the conduct of Suzanne Whitmore, Tina Barnes, and Melissa Gilmore.

It has been brought forward that these individuals allegedly participated in spreading misleading or inaccurate claims regarding a current board member, including claims that this individual intended to dissolve the MD/BB divisions and that a broader group of people were seeking this individual’s removal from the Board.

These concerns, if substantiated, represent a serious breach of trust, transparency, and responsible leadership expected within minor hockey governance. Statements that create unnecessary fear, damage reputations, mislead families, or influence board decisions through inaccurate or unsupported information are harmful to the association, its members, and the overall integrity of the organization.

We believe that individuals in leadership, board, committee, or influential volunteer positions must act honestly, responsibly, and in the best interests of the players, families, and association as a whole. Any attempt to misrepresent facts, exaggerate support, create division, or undermine another member through false or misleading claims should be taken seriously and reviewed through the proper governance process.

We are requesting that the appropriate governing body take the following actions:

  1. Conduct a formal review into the conduct of Suzanna Whitmore, Tina Barnes, and Melissa Gilmore.
  2. Require all supporting evidence, communications, screenshots, emails, texts, or witness statements to be submitted and reviewed.
  3. Temporarily remove or suspend the individuals from any active board, committee, or decision-making positions while the review is ongoing.
  4. If the allegations are substantiated, remove the individuals from their current positions.
  5. If misconduct is confirmed, prevent the individuals from holding future board, committee, volunteer leadership, or decision-making roles within the London Bandits and/or GLHA associations.
  6. Provide members with a transparent summary of the review outcome while respecting privacy and governance requirements.

This petition is not intended to create conflict, but to protect the integrity of the association, ensure fair governance, and maintain trust among players, families, volunteers, and board members.

We believe all individuals involved deserve a fair process. However, any person found to have knowingly spread misinformation, misrepresented member support, or attempted to influence association decisions through false claims should not remain in a leadership position.
