Millions of Iranians are in the streets today because your words, and their response to the Crown Prince’s call, gave them courage.

Since the 1979 embassy takeover and the 444 days of hostage‑taking, the Iranian people have lived under a regime that has brought terror to Iran and instability to the world. For more than four decades, this authoritarian system has denied Iranians their most basic human right: freedom.

Freedom is a universal right that belongs to every human being, regardless of nationality, religion, or political belief.

Yet the people of Iran have endured decades of violence, repression, and suffering. Reputable human rights organizations have documented murder, rape, imprisonment, and systematic abuse of innocent civilians.

Thousands have been blinded in protests, families torn apart by arbitrary arrests, and countless voices silenced through torture and execution.

This oppression has devastated Iran and fueled extremism and instability across the region.

Regardless of political views, this is about all of us.

Ending the influence of the world’s leading state sponsor of terror is not a partisan issue it is a global responsibility.

A stable, secular, and free Iran would reduce extremism, weaken terrorist networks, and remove one of the primary sources of conflict affecting the Middle East and beyond.

A free Iran would also strengthen global security and contribute to a more peaceful international order.

The international community must confront the role of global powers that enable this suffering. China and Russia must be urged to stop supporting this regime, whose actions violate international norms and threaten global stability.

The world cannot meaningfully address extremism, terrorism, or regional conflict without addressing the system that fuels so much of it.

This is a historic moment. Just as President Reagan once said, “tear down this wall,” today the free world says: tear down this system of terror. Concrete action is needed, unified diplomatic pressure, targeted sanctions, and support for the brave Iranians risking their lives for change.

Mr. President, the people of Iran are counting on you to stand by your words, uphold America’s commitment to freedom, and support their struggle for liberation. History remembers leaders who act with conviction.
