Petition for Fibre Broadband in Mogeely, County Cork

The Issue

We, the residents of Mogeely, County Cork, urgently call for an upgrade to our internet infrastructure. Our current internet service falls short, failing to support essential aspects of our daily lives, including work, education, and local business operations. In an era where digital connectivity is crucial, our community is at a significant disadvantage, especially compared to urban areas where fibre broadband is widely available.

Opting for a mass installation of fibre broadband is both efficient and cost-effective. It benefits internet service providers by reducing logistical costs and us, the consumers, by providing high-quality internet access at potentially lower prices. This approach of connecting homes in bulk, rather than individually, is a practical solution that maximises resources and impact.

We strongly urge OpenEir and NBI to take our collective need for improved internet quality seriously. It's time for Mogeely to have access to high-speed internet, just like our urban counterparts.

As most of the rollout of fibre infrastructure is already done, and it's a mere few meters from each of our properties, once we've amassed numbers we'll send this off to NBI and OpenEir to encourage expedition of the Fibre to the Home connections.

If you believe in a digitally inclusive future for Mogeely, please sign this petition. Let's unite for better connectivity!
