Petition for Fairness and Support in Pathophysiology Education at Rasmussen University"

The Issue

Dear fellow Rasmussen students in the pathophysiology course,

This petition is a call to action for those who have faced challenges in the course, leading to failure or withdrawal. We believe that the course content and exam material have not adequately prepared us for success. As a result, we are urging for an extension of the class duration or additional class meetings to ensure a deeper understanding of the material.

Furthermore, we are advocating for an investigation into the high number of failing grades and a plan to address this issue. Additionally, we are requesting that students who remain in the course be given the opportunity to retake their lowest scoring test. We also suggest the possibility of receiving a refund or having our grade point averages adjusted to reflect the importance of this course.

It is crucial that the exam percentage accurately reflects our comprehension of the material, which can be assessed through quizzes and exams. We believe that fair assessment is essential for success in the course. Given the school's low NCLEX passing rate and current academic probation status, we also believe that a refund may be warranted due to the inadequate education provided to us students.

Moreover, it is important to highlight that the challenges faced in this course are not just academic but are also taking a toll on students' mental health. The emotional anxiety and depression resulting from these difficulties are significant and must be acknowledged. Additionally, the financial burden of potentially having to retake the course or facing academic setbacks adds to the stress that students are already experiencing.

Let's stand together to ensure that our voices are heard, our concerns are addressed, and support is provided for the holistic well-being of all students impacted by these challenges.
