Petition for Equal Standards and Recognition of Christianophobia

We, the undersigned, call for equal standards in matters of public speech, religious freedom, and public expression across the United Kingdom.

In recent years, accusations such as “Islamophobia” or “homophobia” have increasingly been used in ways that can lead to public shaming, censorship, or police involvement — even when individuals are peacefully expressing religious beliefs or engaging in lawful public discussion.

At the same time, hostility, mockery, intimidation, and discrimination directed toward Christians and Christian preachers are frequently ignored or normalized.

We believe this double standard undermines freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and equal treatment under the law.

We therefore call for:

1. Recognition of Christianophobia and anti-Christian hostility in public spaces.
2. Equal protection for Christians under public order and hate crime policies.
3. Protection of peaceful Christian preaching and lawful religious expression.
4. Clear distinctions between genuine hate speech and peaceful disagreement or biblical beliefs.
5. A review of unnecessary police interventions involving peaceful Christian speakers and preachers.
6. Equal application of free speech protections for all faiths and worldviews.

We reject hatred, threats, harassment, and violence against every individual and community.

However, disagreement with beliefs, religions, ideologies, or lifestyles must not automatically be treated as hatred or criminal behaviour.

A free society must allow open discussion, peaceful preaching, and lawful expression without fear of intimidation or selective enforcement.

Equal standards must apply to everyone.

Signed,
