Petition for retailers to have accountability of life and the earth with their products
Petition for retailers to have accountability of life and the earth with their products
The Issue
To the Right Honorable Prime Minister Trudeau, the Honorable Marie-Claude Bibeau, the Honorable Jonathan Wilkinson, the Honorable Mary Ng, the Honourable Maryam Monsef, the Honourable Bernadette Jordan, and the Honourable Filomena Tassi,
By G-d's grace and mercy, thousands of businesses supply Canadians with an abundant and various supply of nutritious foods daily- and we are thankful to our government, communities, and partnerships for making this possible. However, as ethical farmers, professional, health and environmental advocates, human rights defenders, and conscientious customers, we are aware of the dark treatment of livestock, labour practices, and the effects of chemical and unnatural products upon our earth, compiling upon industrializing/rural populations and in our oceans, soils, air, and the entire earth.
Therefore, we urge the Canada's government and it's people to support and pass laws which uphold the strict inspection and sale of wholesome, organic, sustainable, and local products which have minimal to no processing, with biodegradable plastic options whenever possible...! As customers, we ask that our nation require retailers to be transparent about the products they sell, in regards to the treatment of commercial farm livestock and the genuine efforts to be as environmental as possible,
Thank you, for being North American leaders in our earth-friendly enterprise movement.

In small places, close to home – so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. … Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerned citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.”
