We, the parents, community members, and stakeholders of Pocahontas school district, are formally requesting immediate action from the School Board regarding the leadership and oversight of the district.

Over time, serious concerns have been raised by members of this community regarding decision-making, transparency, and the overall direction of the district under the current superintendent. Despite these concerns, the School Board has continued to renew the superintendent’s contract without adequately addressing or acknowledging the voices of the community.

We respectfully demand the following:

A transparent and publicly disclosed evaluation of the superintendent’s performance
An independent review or investigation into the concerns raised by staff, parents, and community members
The restoration and protection of staff and public rights to speak openly at School Board meetings
A pause on any future contract renewals until these concerns are properly reviewed

Our schools exist to serve students, families, and the community—not to operate without accountability. We believe that strong leadership requires transparency, trust, and open communication.

We urge the School Board to take immediate steps to rebuild that trust and ensure that the voices of this community are heard and respected.
