Petition for a Vote of No Confidence in the Convenor and Deputy Convenor 

We, the undersigned members of Unite the Union, Branch 1365, no longer have confidence in the current Convenor and Deputy Convenor to represent the interests of the membership. 

This petition is submitted because we believe that confidence between the membership and our elected workplace representatives has broken down. Effective representation depends upon trust, accountability and meaningful engagement with the members they represent. We believe that this confidence has been lost. 

Accordingly, we respectfully request that the appropriate Unite constitutional process is initiated to determine whether the Convenor and Deputy Convenor continue to hold the confidence of those they represent. If appropriate, we ask that a fresh democratic election be arranged to allow members to determine who should hold these positions. 

This petition is made in the interests of strengthening representation within our workplace and ensuring that those who hold office continue to do so with the confidence of the membership.
