The Issue

Truman's decision defied our country's promise to uphold life by ensuring due process for every person.  Truman's personal feelings regarding race were his Constitutional right, but his actions did not represent his country and Congress needs to declare the bombings to be in defiance of our constitution.  Imposing physical torment on citizens is the opposite of upholding due process.  If Truman had been denied access to nuclear weapons until he could derive Heisenberg's mathematical apparatus himself, he would have realized that dropping bombs on anyone's children implicitly condones dropping bombs on everyone's children.  The President of the United States is responsible for knowing that equality for all persons is peace.
