Whilst we appreciate the justifications for the need to update the crest, the final design shared on 11 July 2024 is not up to scratch and there is concern the fans have not been consulted on the final design published. 

The majority of the club's success, growth and living heritage was delivered under the previous design, yet there is no reference to this part of the club's history in the new crest, it's most successful and recognisable period.

As a fan this makes us feel forgotten with too much design emphasis being on the origin and not celebrating what we have become and achieved. It comes across as less of an evolution of a successful brand, more of a complete rebrand you would expect of a failing club trying to shake of a poor image. 

The lack of the castle, lion or halo is extremely disappointing and the text used for Northampton Saints is very basic. 

The fans are the heart of any successful club and we worry there is no formal channel to voice disagreement. I have made this petition in the event there is time to consider changing the design, either before the season starts, or the beginning of the next season.
