Facts:

(1) Since 1st May 2022, tennis courts are managed by TAG International Tennis Academy (www.tagtennis.org)
(2) Most of the members were not informed/consulted on this fundamental change, until we received the office notification from NTU Alumni Club.
(3) The rates for court rental are now ranging from SGD 20-35 (weekend and public holiday) and SGD 25-40 (weekend and public holiday), from the previous range we used to get at SGD 2-4. 
(4) The courts are opened to public.
(5) TAG will also have the commercial coaching classes at this facility. 
(6) Per the NTU Club regulation clause 20 https://ntualumni.org.sg/images/about_us/NTUAC%20Regulations%20-%20Final%20%28Feb%202022%29.pdf?_t=1644227490 “The tennis courts shall be booked by members only and the member who books a court must be present during the hire.”

The above changes are not in-line with the mission and regulations of the NTU alumni club (link) and adversely impact the benefit of existing members to the club?  If you agree, we will appreciate if you could support by completing and signing this petition.

Notification of NTU Alumni Club dated 1st May 2022:

“Starting 1 May, the tennis courts are being managed by TAG International Tennis Academy (www.tagtennis.org in partnership with the new master operator for the sports complex.

TAG has introduced an improved ticketing system that allows for real-time court bookings and immediate checking of availability.

To book your court, please go to the booking platform at: https://tagonenorth-online.globaltix.com/ Payment can be made directly online and will be automatically refunded in the case of wet weather.

The system will also allow you to book the courts more than 7 days in advance. For bookings made more than 7 days in advance, please also enter code “NTUAC10TAG” to receive a 10% discount on all court bookings.

You are also entitled to a 15% discount of all group classes and private coaching. If you would like to arrange for a group class or private coaching, please let us know and we will arrange for TAG to contact you. Alternatively, you can reach TAG directly via WhatsApp to 9029 xxxx.”
