Why this petition matters

Started by Samantha McNally

Thank you to all that signed our Original Petition online and our paper copies but we need your help again!

Further to all the noise that we made back in January, Suffolk County Council have decided to revise their original plans with an attempt to leave us with some parking and access to our services!

WHAT A JOKE!

Having been handed a copy last week of their new proposals it is very apparent that they have no wish for us to stay and they are going to make this as difficult as possible for us to stay and have a viable business!

Anyone that comes down the van will know that to pull in grab your order and go is one of the advantages and bonuses or where our parking is at present.

What do the council now propose…….moving the bus stop from in front of the garage (currently between the entrance and exit) to where our parking is and leaving 2/3 spaces (small cars!) where that was for access to all for the shop, garage and us! They also have added a token one space near the exit of the garage. The parking the opposite side of the road will be totally removed.

Why are they moving the bus stop? This makes no sense!

This is a not a compromise for us and feels more like a kick in the teeth!

I realise that the Crossing needs to be incorporated somewhere but there are many more places this could go that would keep all parties happy!

I  will be displaying the letter we received (hand delivered this time) and the proposed New TRO Arrangement that will be displayed from the 8th April 2022 and we have a 21 day consultation period from this date.

We would appreciate if anyone that feels as passionate and disappointed by this as we do email in to Andy Pearl (Suffolk Legal) or same in writing to the below address:

transport.schemes@suffolk.gov.uk & andy.pearl@suffolk.gov or in writing to:

Highways Growth & Infrastructure, Endeavor House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, IP1 2BX

 Thank You!
