On June 22nd, 2021, the PVNCCDSB Board voted 4-3 AGAINST our schools raising the Pride flag. Hooray!

Chair David Bernier, Vice Chair Michelle Griepsma, Trustee Emmanuel Pinto, and Trustee Linda Ainsworth voted against this diabolical motion. Thanks be to God.

Please join me in applauding this decision and showing your support for authentic Catholic education in Peterborough.

It is important that ALL of our Catholic schools remain faithful to Jesus Christ and the teachings of His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, especially on matters on human sexuality. The Pride flag represents acceptance and affirmation of sexual acts which are sinful and consequently against Church Teaching.

With other major school boards now proudly displaying the Pride flag, I fear that our schools will wholly succumb to the secular culture that celebrates sin, and lead our young students away from Jesus and toward Satan.

Therefore, I now challenge the board to take a stand and to ban the Pride flag (and all flags that are not consistent with Catholic Teaching) from being flown at schools in perpetuity.
