The issue

Since their formation in 1976, the Australian music industry changed forever. For almost every artist that has ever created music, they will hold a hint of Midnight Oil in what they write.

Which is why in 2002, a nation stopped. No, the Melbourne Cup wasn't on. It was the end of our beloved Oils. Some still say it was "the day the music really did die". We were left to endure over a decade of pain, as we watched the songbird of our generation, Peter Garrett, trample through the hardships and downfalls of working in politics, but thankfully, we have ended that era and are looking onto bigger and better things.

And those bigger and better things start with the beautiful chords of U.S. Forces, played to hundreds of thousands of screaming Oils fans all over our fair dinkum, true blue nation.

There isn't a day that goes by when we have to stop and ask ourselves, "How do we sleep while our beds are burning?".

Peter, Midnight Oil - Australia has not lost the power and the passion; we want to give it back; and most importantly, we want to see the man that inspired every bloke who had downed a few too many schooners at the local that he was a bloody good dancer when an Oils song blared on the jukebox.

Oils fans, the time has come.
