Your Excellency,

This is an open letter I direct both to you and to the people of this great nation. I hope that in reading this, you are as passionate about this as I am.

After the absolute political farce that has sullied Australia's reputation, it is extremely undemocratic and even un-Australian to continuously coup the Head of Government as if we were some third-world nation. When even Americans, who are in the midst of political chaos, call us out on the events, it should be a wake-up call.

We have not had a stable leadership in over a decade, and as a nation we have suffered. Low wage growth, prohibitive housing prices and torturous conditions for refugees have become a staple of Australia. This cannot continue.

The Australian people have thus lost faith in the "elected representatives" who are behaving like children and not setting the nation up for any sort of success.

Australia as a nation and a people cannot bear the burden of incompetent and selfish politicians anymore and by calling a general election now, with the effects fresh in the minds of the people, we will be able to send a poignant message to the members of government: that we are still a democracy and the people are the ones you represent. Not yourselves!
