1:Arturo the polar bear has never in his life lived in the Arctic Circle and has never   swam in its icy oceans. He has never caught a fresh trout in his massive jaws or     felt fresh snow under his paws. In fact, most days he cannot even see the sun. Since Arturo is a prisoner, and we humans are his custodians. But he doesn’t live in a reservation, or even a zoo. Think again. This bear lives in a shopping mall.

2.Arturo the polar bear suffers in a cramped exhibition in the Grandview shopping centre in Guangzhou, China – put on painful display for shoppers and tourists to take selfies with. Guests tap on the glass and flash cameras while Arturo lies drooping in a depressed heap, too bored and miserable to move.
Film footage has appeared of Arturo, named “The World’s Saddest Bear”, and his filthy living circumstances, and it does not make for comfortable viewing. Animal lovers might want to prepare themselves for a tear-jerking sight on the next page

3.Arturo is not the only exhibition in this gruesome gallery. It also stocks other Arctic species, plus five walrus calves, a wolf and six belugas. But Arturo is the most protruding and most at risk. Bear specialists claim that Arturo shows worrying signs, as imprisonment restricts his wild instincts.These symptoms include exhibitions of extreme boredom or repetitive-compulsive behaviours. Without freedom or mental motivation, an uneasy bear can become deeply self-destructive.If you did not feel at least a twinge of compassion, cheers, you have no soul.
