Pet Food Manufacturers: List the ingredients in food on an as fed percentage including carbs!

The Issue

There are many cats who can't have specific ingredients i.e diabetics and carbs in food, and pet food only lists guaranteed analysis which lists the max or minimum of an ingredient. We need exact percentages as fed.  There are certian medical conditions in dogs and cats which pet owners need to know specific amounts per serving so that they can choose the best food for their animals medical needs.  It's frusterating for pet owners to think that they are doing what's right only to find out that they may be giving their animal food that has to much of an ingredient they need to stay away from.  You are in the animal business, and supposedly care about animals and their quality of life. How are pet owners supposed to give their animals this if what's on the package isn't entirely accurate? We want an as fed listing listing of ingredients. This includes adding the amount of carbs (not dry matter) that is in any given food (dry or wet) on an as fed percentage.  We are responsible for helping our animals. We are their voice. How can we choose for them, if we don't have accurate information? If this was food we were to take into our own bodies what would you want? Imagine a diabetic trying to figure out how many carbs or grams of sugar are in a particular food, and it wasn't listed on the product? How would they know what they could and couldn't eat? It would be scary for them! This is what we as pet owers face all the time.  Please help us help our pets!
