I speak as a long-time fan and loyal customer of Volkswagen. I've spent my entire life surrounded by VW's, I currently own 5 VAG models. My bad weather daily being one of the last diesel Touaregs available in North America. With a current 180k miles. As much as I love this car, the prospect of having to keep it for a million miles due to the limited VW options here, is quite unsettling. Furthermore, the rest of the North American pick-up truck market just doesn't compare to the superior quality that a model like the Amarok promises.

It's not just me either. Many Americans have expressed their interest in having the Amarok and Touareg models brought into the States.
