Each time I see the freedom flotillas turned back, it fills me with disappointment and concern. There are so many hungry and needy people in Gaza, and activists like Greta Thunberg stand ready to provide the aid they so desperately require. However, blockades consistently prevent such aid from reaching its destination, leaving those in need without essential supplies and assistance.

The goal of this petition is to allow the upcoming freedom flotilla, which includes activists like Greta Thunberg, to enter Gaza. These flotillas carry essential humanitarian aid, and if it's verified that there are no harmful materials on board, we believe they should be granted passage through the blockade to deliver aid to the people who need it most.

We understand the security concerns involved and propose a solution that satisfies both humanitarian needs and security imperatives: Allow inspections of the flotilla's cargo. If these inspections confirm that there is nothing dangerous or harmful being transported, permit the flotilla to pass unhindered so that they might deliver much-needed aid, food, and relief to the people of Gaza.

Current blockades have a significant humanitarian impact. According to human rights organizations, such restrictions exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, impeding people from accessing food, clean water, medical supplies, and other crucial resources. This leaves the citizens of Gaza in a vulnerable state, as highlighted by numerous reports stating that about 70% of Gazans are food insecure or require food assistance.

This is our chance to show our solidarity and support for those striving to provide humanitarian relief. Allowing humanitarian activists to carry out their mission would also enable the world to witness the dedication and compassion that drives such initiatives, thereby raising awareness about the situation in Gaza.
